Da Kavai City (IPA: /ˈda ka'vai/; the same in Nithalosian) is the capital city of Koian State, and third largest city of Nithalosia. Da kavai is a richly multicultural city due to it's ties with sister city Nóminjel in Samarkainia and the proximity to Rasoran.

The city is home to just over 7 million Nithalosian citizens and lies on the Da Kavai River (hence where the city gained its name) which has been used as a central trade means since the city was founded in the late 1800s. The remainder of the demographics are a mixture of people from Salia and Toitūkōlad primarily.

The city is known for its annual river festival where 1 thousand floating lanterns are sent down the river, bonfires are lit, and a night of wine, good food and dancing in the streets follows. Thousands flock from all over Nithalosia and surrounding territories to partake in this famous festival.

Transport

Da Kavai Central Station is one of the 5 major stations on the NIR rail system in Nithalosia. The follow routes operate in and out of Da Kavai. At this stage no blue line routes operate from Da Kavai.

Furthermore to this, Da Kavai is the only major city within 20km of the Nithalosia-Rasoran border, meaning motorised vehicles are not prohibited under federal law. However, Koian State law prohibits the use of such vehicles within city limits, thus reducing the 20km zone around Da Kavai to a mere 3km (as this is the distance from the city to the border).
