Hyldia, Hyldian: Hyidlien, Riyon: Hüldiä, Meirman: Hiildien, or the republic and high-priestesshood of Hyldia (Enellomien vlandanuntyixtia'kyi Hyildien), is a nation located on the island of Talvia. It is the easternmost country on the planet, if the time zone 0 is counted as the center. Hyldia is a democratic theocratic republic ruled by the democratic elected government and the theocratic temple council. At 1,203,604 square kilometres, Hyldia is the largest country on Taliva by area. Hyldia has land borders with Eperne [hyld: Epernon] and Vösia [hyld: Bersien] to the west. North and east of Hyldia lays the Aostoric sea, Mears aos, and in the south Talvian bay, Ebvalin Talvian.

National anthem

The national anthem is called My Hyldia or Hyildiehlen and is a text from the famous author Aogesta Monir and a traditional music from the region of Daelien.

Geography

Geography of Hyldia

Hyldia is located on the east coast of the Qitharan island, and ist there the bigest country. Hyldia has land borders with Eperne and Vösia to the west. The border to Eperne is located on the mountain chain of Geruma almost exactly on the waterched, so that the rivers on the hyldian side of the border runs at the east. The highest mountain of hyldia is Imnor with ist 1597 m above sea level in the region Seþtien in west Hyldia. This part of the country is mostly highland plateaus where other high mountains are located, like Bearsor (1511 m) in the region Toelþa and Monir anunsa (the holy mountain) with its 1452 meter above sea level.
The lowest point of Hylia is the sea level.
The biggest sea of Hyldia is Aorien fossen (Lake of the holy light), which is located in the region of Daelien. Other big lakes are: Aorien Salmien, Aorien Þoriman and Aorien Eþren, where the longest river in Hyldia, Eþra, runs through.
The south part of Hyldia is mostly forrest and agricultural areas, where the density of population is higher. 75% of the population lives in the southern part of the land. In the north part of Hyldia the tree line are quite low, under 200 meter above sea level. Forrest, hydro power, oil, iron ore, fish and gold are important natural assets.
The biggest island in Hyldia is Meirma and it is possitioned in north of the region Lupma at the hyldian north coast.
The biggest city in Hyldia is its capital, Karixon (or engl. Karicho), with 6.5 milion inhabitants. Other big cities are: Tyisminyi - 4.3 million, Millia - 3.9 millions, Roaxmen - 3,2 millions, Fallyi - 2,8 millions and Laevin - 2,1 millions. Hyldia has therefore 6 cities with over two million inhabitants.

Climate

South Hyldia has temperate climate (1) with a average high temperature in summer of about 20-25 °C and around 0-3°C in the midwinter. North Hyldia has subartic climate (2) the longer winters and more snow. A normal midwinter day can easily reach under -25 °C. The highlands of Seþtien in west Hyldia has tundra climate (3), with no trees above 500-600 m over sea level.

Hyldia is divided into 7 diffrent regions (or laener) and every region is responible for its own health care system, school system, regional traffic, police service. Those are the hyldian regions:

Districts

Every region is divided in a number of districts (or. Vicarer) . Every district has the reponsibility for its own system of waste management, fire departments, parks, citybuses and subways. Every district has a code and all vehicle that is regestrated in that district must have a registration plate with a number starting with the letters for its district. Energy

The energy production of Hyldia is based on hydro power (65%), wind power (20%), sun power (5%), wave power (5%) and other energy sources (5%). The hyldian energy market is mostly privatized, only 15% of the market is own by the hyldian state. The largest enegry company is Fromxia Beilmien Hyildien Aoryi (FBHA) North Hyldian Water Energy and it owns 43% of all the hydro power plants in Hyldia.

There are many hydro power stations in Hyldia. The rivers with the most stations are Eþra, Aorien fossien, Fealba. There is also a big hydro plant in the river; Moniryi between Vösia and Hyldia.

Hyldia has 484,564 km of paved roads and 30,443 km of highways. Highways have RV-numbers (Rodion Vlans means main road) and RV1-7 run through Hyldia and Country road have RO-numbers (Rodion Omien means country road). Here is a list of all hyldian intercity highways:

There are to big road constructions in Hyldia right now. One highways is under construction over the Eagle plateau, Eirampa seflispien, in Seþtien, from Þorima to Yindil and one is planned to be completed in 2014 from Presbia to Sandyi.

Railways

Railroads in Hyldia

The rail transport market is mostly privatized, but while there are many privately owned enterprises, some operators are still owned by state. The hyldian regions have financing, ticket and marketing responsibility for regional trains. For other trains the operators handle tickets and marketing themselves. Railroads run through almost every big city in Hyldia. The railway from Tyisminyi to Udda and the one between Yindil and Karixon are high speed railways that can host trains with a velocity of about 400 km/h or 450 ou/h. Hyldia is a part of the Qitharan Train Network and there are a number of interstate routes between Vösia and Hyldia. Two of them are Eastern Qitharan Capital Line (EQCL) and Aria-Millia Line (AML).

Airports

Hyldia has 41 airports and the biggest international airports are: Karixoan international airport, Tyisminyi-Foaxsin airport, Millia international airport and Roaxmien airport. Talvian Air Lines (TAL) and the famous hyldian airline: Ferdiar Syirna Hyildien operates almost all of the hyldian airports and travels to over 50 destinations abroad, for example: Halsta-Züri and Aria in Vösia and Esolténnea in Samarkainia.

The hyldian telephone market is free. 74% of the hyldian households has a telephone and 97% has a cell phone. Every district has its own aria number. The numbers in Arien start with 01, and in Toelþa with 02. Here is a map over the telephone numbering plan in Hyldia.

History

Hyldian history is normally divided into six eras: the preanunsian era (2500 BCE - 100 CE), the early anunsian era (100 - 699), the high anunsian era (699 - 1500), the era of the Great Hyldian Empire (1501 - 1583), the postwar period (1584 - 1900) and the modern period (1900-).

Politics

The political system in Hyldia is divided between secular parliarment and the religous temple counsil. The secular system is democratic, where the hyldian people vote on diffrent political parties to the parliarment. The party, or parties, that get the mayority of the votes will form the government. However, the hyldian government has only responibility for some part of the hyldian society, like the military, police force, infrastucture, taxes and labour market. The hyldian temple consil, on the other hand, is theocratic, and has the hole responibility for education and health care, climate.
This system is very old and traditional. The two diffrent political sides, the secular and the religuos, are separated in other ways too. The parliarment is reserved for men only and the temple consil for women only. They have equal power and the same esteem and respect from the hyldian people.
The government and the temple counsil is both divided into ministries/subcounsils and they have different responsibilities. The ministries of the government are: Prime minister's office and ministry of finance, justice, security, foreign affairs and employment and the subcounsils of the temple counsil are: Highest priestess's office and the subcounsil of health and social affairs, education and research, environment, culture and integration.

Problems in the political dual system

Some experts mean that this dual system of Hyldia can be problematic. The government and the temple counsil have many diffrent ideas of how to make laws and govern the nation. That is, according to them, the reason why prostitution is legal in Hyldia but abortion not. The questions about prostitution lay under the responsibility of the ministry of employment and abortion under the subcuonsil of health and care.

Judical system

The judicial system of Hyldia consists of the law of Hyldia and a number of government agencies tasked with upholding security and rule by law within the country. The activities of these agencies include police, prosecution, courts, and prisons. The main body for law enforcement in Hyldia is the Hyldian Police Service. The entire police service is under the each and every regional council. Hyldian prosecutors are lawyers who are employed by the Hydian Prosecution Authority and who direct the work of the police in cases concerning severe criminality. In all criminal cases, the prosecutors make decisions concerning arrests.

Courts

The courts are divided into three separate systems, general courts for criminal and civil cases, administrative courts for administrative cases and temple courts for crimes agains the anunsian religion. Each of these systems has three tiers, one in every district, one in every region and one supreme court. The supreme general court is in Karixon, the supreme administrative court is in Millia and the supreme temple court is in Soelil.

Hyldia has a strong and healthy export-oriented economy with a GPD of 215 billion dollar (176 billion ao), (GPD per capita: 37000 dollar) and a GPD growth of 3.6% hyldia. The currency in Hyldia is Aoren. Timber, hydropower, red steel and iron ore constitute the resource base of an economy heavily oriented toward foreign trade. Hyldia is famous for its reindeer meat and beer and export over 1000 million liters of beer from 1500 breweries every year and have the biggest beer production in the world. Hyldia also export wine, potato, corn, oat, wheat, carrots, asparagus and caffee.

Demographics

As of 2010, the total population of Hyldia is estimated to be 58,125,424 and 60% live in one of the cities with a population over one million people. Last year the population exceeded 58 million for the first time. The population density is 48 people per km² and it is substantially higher in the south than in the north. The capital city Karixon has a population of about 6,500,000, and the second largest city is Tyisminyi.

Education

Education in Hyldia is mandatory for all children from grade 1 to grade 13 - generally starting in the year of the child’s sixth birthday up until the end of the spring term of the calendar year of the child’s 19th birthday. The schooling is divided into three age groops; nanshlemon, child school, first to seventh year, goefthlemon, youth school, eighth to tenth year and geondhlemon, continuing school. Homeschooling is forbidden, unless there are "exceptional circumstances". University, hyl: hlemevton, is optional.

Hyldian is the offical language in Hyldia, Riyon and Meirman is regional languages - a status they got in 1979. Riyon in Aerien and Karixon and Meirman on the island of Meirma.

Hyldian is the official language in Hyldia and around 95% of the hyldian populations speaks hyldian as their mother toung.

Riyon

About 25% of the population in the region of Aerien (2% of the hyldian population) speak riyon as their mother toung and riyon is believed to have been spoken before hyldian west of the river Fealba. In cities west of the river Fealba - Pleovnaja, Lyimnen and Seominyi, more than half of the population are riyon speakers. Even in Tyisminyi around 5% speaks riyon and there are schools, libraries, cinemas and theatres in Tyisminyi specialized for the riyon speaking population.
In Aerien it have become a legal right to get all community information in riyon and every hospital, court and police station must offer services in both languages. There are also temple services hold in riyon in the temple of saint Kaonen in Lyimnen even though the anunsian belief is not common among the riyon speaking population.

Meirman

Meirman is a small language spoken by the people on the hyldian island of Meirma and there is about 70,000 native speakers. The language is very alike the hyldian language and the meirman speakers can easily understand hyldians and vice versa.
On Meirma it has also become a legal right to get all community information in meirman and every hospital, court and police station must offer services in both hyldian and meirman. There are also temple services hold in Meirman in all temples on the island.

Culture

The hyldian culture is very traditional and well known by the hyldian population. It includes music, dance, the religion, literature, art and much more. One of the most famous authors is Aogesta Monir (1902-1973) who wrote over 20 book in the hyldian language, that all are considered to be the most important literature in Hyldia.


Religion

The religion of hyldia is Anunsianism (hyl. Anunsiana) from the hyldian word for saint - anunsetien. The religion is based on the faith in three goddesses: Eolyi, Sanolyi and Foanyi, the holy book of the twelve saints, or Lomen anunsetiamen gaxte. The believers gather one to seven times a week in the temples for prayers, songs and readings from the holy book. About 90% of the hyldian populations are Anunsian believers.
Because of one of the first texts in the holy book, that forbids Anunsians to pray without a woman in the group, only women can serve at the temple. That means the there are only female priestesses in Hyldia and the national temple counsil consists of 100% women. This counsil is also responsible for the education system and health care in Hyldia.

Music

The hyldian music are as all culture in Hyldia very traditional and well known by the hyldian populaiton. Hyldian music can be divided into religous music, art music and profane music.

Religous music

The religous music (hyl. psallen) that are used in the hyldian temples is always vocal - sungen by choir, priestesses or the temple visitors. It is based on scales that are various for diffrent religous festivals or times. The texts is often based on the holy book or prayers written by any of the twelve saints.
Many of the anunsian liturgic songs, sungen in the ceremonies by the priestesses, have three voices. They are called: bevemetien - the leader, repsetien elen - higher follower and repsetien naomnyi - lower follower. The note range for the leader can be as high as c3 and for the lower follower as low as the small c.
Religious music sungen in the ceremonies by the choir have often four to twelve voiced. The pieces are sometimes parted into three choirs with each four voices. The most famous choir composer of anunsian music is Oelda Iocqa - an anunsian believer born in 1685 in Aria, Vösia and died 1750 in Karixon. He was very productive and wrote over 1500 choir peaces - all categorized in Iocqa Work Number, hyl: Noems moitian Iocqan, NMI. One of his most loved piese is Our goddesses are our shelter, hyl. Huyenda Jumeir vaeransyimsen and has the number NMI-366.
Other imortant anunsian choir composers are Levyi Millio (1230-1298), from Millia, Sanþryi Vaeransien (1452-1501), from Vyilemina, Oevertornia Boudnia (1744-1811), from Udda, Louvnyi Nealtyi (1823-1865), from Tyisminyi, Belda Molta (1898-1970), from Sandyi and the Loevlor prize winner of religion in 1998, Houldien Vavyi (1965-), from Soelil.

Art music

Profane music

Profane music in Hyldia, (hyl. alivoila) is often folklores intended for dance. Instrument that are usual in this kind of music are the guitar or jimtra, the violine or runna the oboe or utra, the flute or pfifs, a (sort of) dubblebass or berdon and sometimes the organ or ceba. There are some diffrent standard dances and all are for pairs of two, four, eight or twelve. They are diffrent of the tempo and meter. Here are some examples of usual traditional folkdanses in Hyldia

There are many local and regional varities of this music and those dances, and every city or village has its own traditions and praxis.
There are often popular organized dance arrangements where folkmusic is played and people of all ages gathers and dance. Those are called koadilla and the biggest is arranged in Millia every year in the end of june. Last year over 120,000 participated there.

Hyldia has had many famous artists, among them Loubra Seimsa, Tobvia Serjor and Jarlor Tyisminie. Hyldian art has always been influenced by the anunsian religion and diffrent legends from it, this two famous paintings made by Loubra Seimsa are good examples of that:

During the Great Hyldian Empire and to the beginning of the 20th century there was a stong influence of the hyldian nature, especially in Seþtien and nothern Hyldia. The Nationalromantic Art Museum in Þorima, Seþtien has the world's greatest collection of art from this epoque with many famouse paintings.
The artists in the nationalromantic epoque had often the ambition to revive, often preconceived and glorified, ideals from the preanunsian era - ideals and ideas of a high and strong culture. The religious painting from the nationalromantic epoque were almost without exceptions glorifications of the nation, its nature, traditions and culture.

The Loevlor prize

The loevlor prizes are annual international awards bestowed by Hyldian committees in recognition of cultural and scientific advances. The will of the Hyldian physicist Albva Loevlor (1871-1931), established the prizes in Physics, Chemistry, Physiology, Medicine, Literature, Religion and Politics and they were first first awarded in 1934.

Cuisine

Hyldian cuisine is a style of cooking derived from Hyldia. There has always been regional differences in Hyldian cuisine. Historically, in the north part of the country, meats such as reindeer, and moose are common and in the southern regions of Hyldia, including Aerien and Toelþa have many dishes with beef, deer and lamb and at the border of Vösia one will find many similar dishes. Vagetables are more usual in southern Hyldia.
Hyldia is famous for its many superb beer sorts. Almost every city, town and village has its own local brewery and some of the most popular hyldian beers are the north hyldian light beer sorts Aepil Soelin, Oaxlextion Graenen and Axa, but there is a great variety of beer styles within the hyldian tradition.
