Nithalosia (IPA: /nɪθəˈlaʊʒa/; In Nithalosian: Niđalosia, IPA: /niθaˈloːsiʲa/; In Seretian: Rýmauthai, IPA: /rɯ̥ˈmaʊθaɪ/) is a small communist nation in the north east of the northern continent.
The motto of the nation Kevaođ koni movu ud šinivana drav (IPA: /keˈvaʲɔð ˈkoːni mɔvu ˈʲuːd ˈʃinivana ˈdraːf/) means literally "There's only dead grass beyond the peaceful lands". It says that beyond lands which are considered "peaceful", nothing prospers to the point where even the grass is dead. This is considered a nationalistic and very patriotic saying or phrase in the nation and is even a key line in the national anthem.
The country's version of the bill of rights called the Nithalosian Citizens Rights Charter (NCRC) / Niđalođ konkita gisokvisma yu diova (NKGD) was written in 1933 and has not yet been amended or fixed in any way.

History
Nithalosia has had a relatively short, yet far from dull history. The history starts in about 1870 in which the land was settled which very quickly moves into present times. Over the years the development of the Nithalosian language, politics and diplomacy, our leaders and our wars have all shaped Nithalosia into what it is today.
Transport
In Nithalosia the use of personal automobiles are forbidden in most parts of the country. The only parts were these are allowed are within 20km of the borders (not including the coast).
To combat this, the government owns two very extensive rail systems - Nithalosian Inter-Rail (NIR) and Nithalosian Intra-Metro (NIM). For personal use, the government has approved the use of Torka.

Government
The Nithalosian government is split up into several sections. These are usually called factions - which are broken up into smaller offices. The offices can be found all over the country in various states and state capitals. States are run by boards and are chosen by the state, but can be overthrown by the people through use of public forums.

International Relations
International relations is very important to the highly neofunctionalist nation. As the initiator of the Zagna Pact we can see this. Nithalosia is said to have had very good relations with most nations and didn't have many enemies.
In January 2009, the referendum was once bought up again in government over the ties to the Zagna Pact. On January 10 2009, with a landslide vote of 84% saying no, the ties with the Zagna Pact were officially severed. Nithalosia will retain use of the Zagnan Zara currency, but all other diplomatic rights with Zagna nations ceased from January 15th.
In addition to this, Nithalosia has an open border scheme with Rasoran Union and Toitūkōlad, as well as the Nitho-Salian Citizen Exchange Agreement between Nithalosia and the Salian Empire.

Cuisine
The cuisine of Nithalosia is highly based around dairy products: milk, cream, cheese and yoghurt; due to the high production levels of cows milk in the country. On special occasions, the use of goats cheese or milk is also common, but consider a bit of a delicacy.
A common staple in a Nithalosian household is the tišu (cheese bread) which you can see on the left. In Varta, particularly to the South of Yamvoth near the coast, a different type is more preferred, this is called nagotišu (long cheese bread) which you can see on the right.
Tišu is often eaten with Nithalosian plumb jam or with meat like beef or goat.
Beef and goat are the two most common meats eaten in Nithalosia, although lamb is sometimes imported from Vösia when supply is high. Amongst this, Nithalosians eat a lot of home-grown fruit such as peaches, pears, avocado, nectarines, plumbs and passionfruit. Corn and potatoes grown in Nithalosia are also commonly seen on the plate at dinnertime.
