Seretia (Nithalos: Seretia /se'reti.a/; Seretian: Serheti /'se:ʁeti/) is an offshore island of Nithalosia located in Vaenon Bay while also being surrounded by Nunshavi and Toitūkōlad. The island was once its own nation until Nithalosia annexed it in 1906 and called it Nithalosian Seret. This name has since been reverted to Seretia to avoid the oppressive image of Nithalosia.

The island is very sparsely inhabited with most of the population (99%) residing in the capital Seret City. The Seretia State Board ruled on May 3rd 1981 that the Seretian language was to be the second official language in the state, and education began in Seretian on February 1st 1991. Literacy in Seret in Seretian language has reached 75%, with the remaining 25% mostly being immigrants from the Nithalosian mainland.

Demograpics

The population of the sate sits at 7,600,000 with 7,532,000 living in Seret City. This makes Seret City not only the city to hold the largest portion of a state's total population, but it is also the biggest city in Nithalosia.

Transport

Seretia is linked to Nithalosia via the Dhömon tunnel which was completed in 1959. The routes on Seret are given the special prefix S. The largest station in Seretia State is Seret City Central located in Seret City. This provides a crucial link to Toitūkōlad for tourism and trade as well as business traffic.
