The hyldian social democratic labour party, hyl. Silenvion orvetriamen (SiO) is the oldest and largest political party in Hyldia. Since 2001, the party leader of Silenvions orvetriamen is Mistor Ioxa. The party was founded in 1870 as Hyldia partly became a democracy. In 1940's, a schism occurred when revolutionary elements split from the Social Democrats to form a party, called, Party of Revolutionists, hyl. Silvenvion umvaendetriamen (SU), that was more friendly to the Vösian socalism and wanted to adopt the Vösian socalistic ideas in Hyldia. The Party of Revolutionists came to an end in 1979, one year after the vösian General Pinaz died.
The party is situated on the left on a left-right scale. It cooperates in a red-green coalition with the hyldian green party, Gaelar teinsar (GT), and is now together with them a component in the hyldian government since they gained 41.8% of the votes from the hyldian people.
